I Trust You

I trust you.

You died for me, so I trust you. You saved me and changed my name, so I trust you. You blessed me with my family, so I trust you. I have amazing people around me, so I trust you. I lack nothing financially, so I trust you.

But when it feels like you’re not there, I will trust you. When I don’t feel your love, I will trust you. When it seems like my life is turning upside-down, I will trust you. When the people I count on disappoint me, I will trust you. When I lose faith in who I am, I will trust you. When I look in the mirror and I can’t even recognise myself, I will trust you. When all I see is my flaws and my greatest insecurities, I will trust you. When nothing seems to go my way, I will trust you. Even when I doubt you, Lord I will always trust you. I will trust you because you never fail, and your ways are higher than my ways. I will trust you because you are perfect and nothing goes unnoticed with you. I will trust you because you are on my side. Even when it seems like the exact opposite, I know you are on my side. I know you love me. I know you have a plan for me. I know you are working all things together for my good. I know I’m living my best life with you.

So I trust you.

8 Signs You Might Be Legalistic

For those of you who may not know, I’m Nigerian and I grew up there. One of the biggest problems we have in Nigeria is that we don’t know where culture ends and religion begins. We often tend to confuse the two, and I was guilty of this when I was younger. I grew up not knowing the difference between culture and religion.
